Hotel Lobby AI With a Friend: Who Takes Which Rapper, and 10 Duo Ideas (2026)

How the two photos work in the Hotel Lobby AI video: tapping a rapper on the clip decides who stands where, what each photo should show, ten duos people are making and what a duo costs.

Oct 30, 2026

Short answer: on the Hotel Lobby AI page, the original clip is a picture with a circle on each rapper. Tap the man in the striped shirt and add a photo, tap the man in the orange shirt and add the other, then tap Generate. The person you put on each rapper stands exactly there in the orange booth. One video is $9.99, duo or solo, and it is ready in 3 to 8 minutes. Prices and screens were checked on October 30, 2026.

Two Rappers, Two Photos

The Hotel Lobby clip is Quavo and Takeoff at A COLORS SHOW: an orange set, one microphone hanging on a cable between them, and twenty seconds of swaying, nodding and leaning into the mic in turn. The AI version keeps the set, the mic and every move and replaces the two performers with the two people in your photos.

Since the page added the tap-to-cast picture, there is no guessing which photo goes where. The original clip appears as a still with two circles:

  • The man in the striped shirt and white sunglasses, on the left.
  • The man in the orange shirt and black sunglasses, on the right.

Tap a circle, add a photo, and that person takes that spot. The photo slots under the picture are labelled 1 · You and 2 · Your duo (optional), and the prompt the generator writes for you says who replaces whom. Switch on Prompt if you want to read or change it.

What Each Photo Should Show

  • One face per photo. Two separate selfies work; a photo of both of you together can put the wrong person in the booth.
  • Front facing, face fully visible. Both performers wear sunglasses in the clip, but the model still needs eyes, nose and mouth in the photo to keep your face through the nods and the lean to the mic.
  • Waist up if you can. The camera shows both rappers from the waist up, so a waist-up photo gives the right build; a sharp selfie still works.
  • The outfit in the photo is the outfit in the booth. Matching outfits, two blazers or two hoodies, read as a real duo.
  • Only photos you may use. Your own and an adult's who agreed; no children, and no celebrities.

The photos do not need to be taken together, so one of you can send a selfie from across the country.

10 Hotel Lobby Duos People Are Making

  1. Best friends. The classic: two selfies from the group chat, matching sunglasses optional.
  2. A couple. One on each mic, leaning in on the same beat.
  3. Siblings. The one who always sings in the car gets the striped shirt side.
  4. Parent and child. Dad in the orange shirt spot is the version that gets shared at family dinner.
  5. Two coworkers. The duo that presented together on Monday performs together on Friday.
  6. Two roommates. The orange booth is the apartment now.
  7. Teammates. Two jerseys in the booth after a win, or after a loss.
  8. The groomsmen. Two of them, as a toast video.
  9. You and your pet. The Animal Duet example on the page shows it; the pet goes in one circle and you in the other.
  10. A solo take. Add one photo and you take one rapper's place while the other stays as in the clip.

Pick the example on the page closest to your pair and tap Recreate this to start from it.

Step by Step

  1. Open the Hotel Lobby AI page. The original performance is loaded in the generator.
  2. Tap the man in the striped shirt on the clip and add the first photo. Tap the man in the orange shirt and add the second. For a solo take, add one photo only.
  3. Switch on Prompt if you want to describe outfits, for example "both in black blazers".
  4. Tap Generate. Checkout shows the price before anything is charged.
  5. Come back in 3 to 8 minutes and tap Download MP4. The file is a vertical 720p video with the performance's audio and no watermark.

On a phone, you can scan the code on the generator to send photos from the camera roll, and send the finished video back to the phone the same way.

What a Duo Costs

A duo costs the same as a solo: one video is $9.99, whatever its length. The 3-video pack is $24.99 ($8.33 a video) and the 7-video pack $49.99 ($7.14 a video), with no subscription. A failed render returns the video to your account automatically.

Hotel Lobby Duo FAQ

Which photo becomes which rapper? The one you tap. Tap the man in the striped shirt and add a photo, and that person stands on the left; tap the man in the orange shirt for the right. If you add photos without tapping, the first photo takes the striped shirt and the second the orange shirt.

Can I swap sides after generating? Each generation is a new video. Tap the circles the other way round and generate again.

Do we need matching outfits? No. The outfits in the photos are the outfits in the booth, so wear what you want in the photo.

Can three people do it? The clip has two performers, so two photos. For a group, make two duos and post them together.

Does it use the real song? The video keeps the audio of the clip you picked, so the original performance comes back with its own sound.
